Little did Peggy and Ralph Luper, the founders of Miss Scarlett's Specialty Foods, ever imagine while cooking Red Pepper Jelly in their home kitchen a quarter of a century ago, that their efforts creating 2600 jars of jelly that first month would eventually lead to an expanded product line consisting of seventy-four uniquely delicious specialty foods that today are marketed throughout the US as well as many foreign countries.
